The Sun Odyssey 54DS is the flagship of the range of sailing yachts from Jeanneau, one of France’s premier builders. Its cockpit provides ample room for relaxation while not compromising the sailing of the yacht

On deck

The large split level cockpit provides ample seating for crewing and relaxing. retractable bimini is situate over the rear half of the cockpit which provides shade both a anchor and in light conditions while underway. A large cockpit table facilitates dining “al fresco”, always popular while on holiday.
The standing rigging is situated inboard allowing easy movement around the wide side-decks and plenty of sunbathing space is available on the foredeck. At the after end of the cockpit the twin steering positions allow unimpeded access to the sea by way of steps to a bathing platform situated just above the waterline. An integral ladder can be folded down into the water. A fresh water shower is located on the bathing platform for your convenience

It was cold and snowing when we left Manchester a stark contrast to the warm welcome we received in Gibraltar, from three novices to a Day Skipper and two Comp Crew, Brilliant.
Thanks for a great week sailing and making it such an enjoyable time for all the family, the little extras and activities for Chris were superb.
Hard work, sure, Great fun absolutely - We all had a great time and learnt loads, look forward to seeing you all again soon.
