Own boat tuition is
available for all Motor Courses including theory.
Helmsman Practical 2 Days (Beginners)
This is tailored to suit anyone who is just starting out in power
boating and is essential if you are thinking of investing in a power
boat to get some of the more basic skills under your belt.
ICC 1 Day Assessment.
This is a minimum legal requirement in all marinas in Europe you
Need ICC and they are clamping down! If you have all the skills and
just need the test then you only need the 1 day assessment.
ICC 3 day
course and assessment.
This is a minimum legal requirement in all marinas in Europe you
Need ICC and they are clamping down!
The course involves sufficient
training to pass the ICC assessment and covers berthing, man
overboard recovery.
Day skipper
Theory 5 days.
Navigation, tides, and safety and more, this course is required
before day skipper practical.
Day skipper
practical Tidal Including ICC 4 Days.
A follow on course from helmsman Practical course, day skipper
covers more in-depth boat handling and this course includes your ICC
training and assessment. Pre course requirements are Helmsman
Practical and Day skipper theory.
Coastal Theory 5 days.
Pre course requirements are day skipper theory.
A much more in-depth study of navigation and seamanship, again this
course is required before Coastal Practical.
Coastal Skipper
Practical TIDAL 5 Days.
Following on from Day Skipper, Coastal skipper is the next stepping
stone course. Included in this course are your skippered
passages where you take control and make all the calls in a variety
of situations. Pre course requirements are Coastal theory and
day skipper level practical skills, you do not need day skipper
practical if your skills are already at that level. Accommodation is
on board for this course.
Power conversion
Including exam 5 days.
Pre course requirements Yachtmaster Sail plus 1250 motor yacht sea
miles, 25 days sea time, 3 passages over 60 miles including 1 over
night, and 1 as skipper.
Yachtmaster prep. and exam. 5
days.
4 days prep and the use of the boat for the exam. Fees include
exam fee. Pre course requirements are the same as the power
conversion but the 2500 miles can all be on motor yachts.
